Become Who You Are

Therapy for Individuals Seeking Real and Lasting Change

Gilbert, Arizona

“Why do I keep doing this?”

“Dropping the ball again.”

You’re rarely happy with yourself.

Yelling when you want to be patient.

Playing video games and streaming YouTube when you want to be productive.

Silence when you wish you could speak your mind.

Feeling guilty for all the things you aren’t doing…

“Am I depressed? Anxious? Addicted?”

WebMD doesn’t have an answer for you. All those Psychology Today articles seem to contradict each other.

You try prayer, but it doesn’t seem to offer the solution. Constantly trying to make God happy, make others happy, make yourself happy.

“I know I’m made for more! Why is it so hard to get a step ahead?”

You notice the tension of living as two people.

The one who is healthy that everyone knows, and the other who is lost.

From time to time, you say you’ll change, but you’re starting to think you’re not being honest with yourself.

“I can’t keep this up forever. It’s going to come crashing down.”

And of course, you’ve heard about those stories where it did come crashing down. The people closest to you have already started to see through the cracks.

“Be not afraid!”

You hear that call from scripture and the leaders in your church.

You’d love to think you aren’t afraid, but you notice something under the surface that seems a lot like fear.

“I must be doing something wrong.” This painful awareness sits in the brain.

You aren’t willing to give up hope on living your best life, but there’s a part of you that seems to have already done that – you’re fighting that part and refusing to accept it.

Yet, it bubbles up in those moments where you step into the struggle.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

When you embark upon the journey of life, obstacles have a way of popping up. And sometimes, you can really get stuck on them for a while as you fight back the despair.

But take courage!

Others have come this way before. Together, you and I will work to better understand where you are stuck and develop a plan to move through it.

We will discover the story of your life in a new way and write the pivotal chapters that will help you move into the next part of your story – where you feel freedom, peace, and connection with yourself and others.

Hi, I’m David.

I strive to meet my clients right where they are in the moment – with all their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Taking the good, the bad, and the ugly that they carry inside and processing and integrating all of this, moving from a state of surviving to a state of flourishing.

My work as a therapist focuses on where research-proven treatments intersect with a Catholic-Christian understanding of the person.

I have a special focus on working with men of faith who struggle with addictive sexual behavior that’s taking over their lives. I help them understand the roots of these problems, heal their wounds, and develop strategies to handle their experiences in the moment.

I also help men and women find new ways to approach their trauma, depression, anxiety, and other addictive behavior problems.

Are you ready to seek real and lasting change? Wherever you are, it is a good time to step into therapy and start your work.

This is not too much to handle.

The first step can seem like the most difficult one.

Yet, time and time again, I find that men and women who commit themselves to taking that first step of simply making a phone call can continue moving forward bit by bit. This is the recipe for true healing and growth. And I am here to help you work this recipe.
