IFS Intensives

I'm feeling pretty stuckOne step forward, two steps back?

Perhaps you’ve really appreciated the IFS model. You’re getting to know your parts, and working through some challenges in a new way.

But you keep on getting hung up somewhere. You have a session and seem to make some progress.

But by the time you come back for your next session, you feel like you’re right back where you started!

“Why do my parts keep going back to the same old stuff!?”

If you’ve asked yourself this question before, I can tell you my friend, you are not alone.

We’ve spent our whole lives developing the habits and patterns we have now.

Why should we expect them to change so abruptly?

Sometimes it takes a little more of a push to move beyond the usual tendencies of thinking, feeling, and behaving.

Trying to get free“But how do I make this push?”

You could answer that question in many different ways, but I’ll tell you one thing for sure:

Spending one out of 168 hours each week with a focused and guided effort to make the change might not be enough.

With one hour a week (or every two weeks, or every month) of guided help, you might find a bit of movement…

But that hour just isn’t quite cutting it. By the time you get to something that seems really important – time’s up!

This is a common occurrence in the 50-minute therapy session. Sometimes it would be nice to have just a little more time.

I need more timeI have good news for you – we can make more time!

I’ve noticed the demand for longer sessions. And I want to meet that demand.

So I’m offering IFS intensives, where we can set aside a bigger chunk of time to do some deeper work.

An intensive is a special session set aside to go more in-depth with your interior exploration and healing.

It’s kind of like a mini-retreat. It’s a way you take some extra time to get away from the chaos of life and care for yourself.

It’s a time where we can go beyond the small steps of weekly sessions and take a bigger leap forward.

Here’s what it looks like…

We’ll have one or two initial 50-minute sessions.

In these sessions, we’ll get to know each other a little better and get our bearings about what we’ll want to focus on during our intensive.

I can also help you to explore whether an intensive would be a good fit for you. If I think it would be better to wait or to go another direction, I’ll let you know.

If we go ahead with it, we’ll schedule a block of time that is a good fit for you. We can be flexible with this and come up with a plan that works for you.

Finding true freedomHow much time are we talking?

For some people, we might do two 90-minute blocks in one day, with a little break between.

Some might like more time. We can add a third block, or even a fourth block if you’re especially ambitious.

The great thing here is that, when we really create the time, it can open a door to a lot more depth of healing and growth. A lot more good for you, for your family, your friends, for those you love.

I don’t schedule other clients back-to-back with intensives. I set the day, or at least half the day, aside for you.

This means that if we’re getting in touch with something that seems important and we hit the end of our time – we don’t have to cut it off abruptly! We’ll bring our block of time to a conclusion when you and your parts are ready, and not when the clock tells us to.

As far as pricing goes, we’ll price it out according to the time you want, in a way that works for you. I’m happy to have a discussion about this and explore possibilities. Give me a call or text and we can chat: (480) 466-0756.
